Had a great visit at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Met several nice people (each of them extremely capable) all focusing their skills on poverty alleviation. The place is full of hope. I sensed several opportunities for us to engage with their work. Our 2 hour meeting was focused upon the use of portable media players.

It is a real privilege to be among so many people who are full of hope. 800 of the world’s most impactful and influential social entrepreneurs and key partners are here in Oxford at #swf10. We are perhaps the most hopeful people in the world, seeing not problems but opportunity. People promoting good and fighting wickedness. At times I am fully aware that this is one of the most pleasant places in the world to be. Extremely satisfying.

Texas Instruments (TI) announced its nHD chipset, an addition to TI’s DLP Pico suite that will enable the thinnest, smallest DLP pico projection engines to date. The chip will permit projector technology to be embedded into smaller devices in a wide range of product categories.
